He moves!

Last night I could not fall asleep. I just layed there enjoying feeling our baby kick like crazy. He was kicking pretty hard and I wondered out loud if Jared could feel him. Soon Jared's hand was on my belly and not long after he felt him move! He actually got to feel the baby serveral times. We were so happy! I love how this little guy already brings so much joy to our life and brings us closer. What an amazing boy we have and he is not even born yet. We love you baby!

Our baby already has a sense of humor

So this little alien inside me already has a sense of humor. He moves ALL THE TIME!!! It is great and makes me so happy to know he is saying hi. I don't know if it comes with the territory of being a first-time mom, but I am absolutely paranoid that I am doing something wrong. Like when I wake up in the middle of the night and I find myself on my back- apparently you are not supposed to sleep on your back?! That is just one of the hundreds of examples. Anyway, I have a funny baby. I am a super ticklish person and he knows it. His kicking tickles me! Hard kicking doesn't tickle but soft kicking does. Somehow he always chooses the best moments to do it. Coincidence? I think not. For example,

When we are in a room full of people who already think I am crazy and then I break out into sudden laughter.

Or the time when grandmother was telling a sad story and I was giggling the whole time.

Or how about during Relief Society? I have not even been in my new ward for a month. They probably think I should go to a psychiatric ward instead of the Chapel Hill Ward.

When Jared is trying to fall asleep and I just lay in bed laughing and laughing!

Oh what a funny baby we have! I know he does these things on purpose : ) Jared says he is doing it right now because I can't get him back. Baby is going to get the shannanigans tickled out of him that's for sure!

Creepy

I just set up my blog and have discovered how fun it is. I guess you could say I am a little blog happy right now. I have even gone as far as "blog-stalking"- a term I learned today and have already turned into someone who does it. Great. Anyway, I have added a few friends onto our list and they probably don't know it. How creepy am I? I hope you guys don't mind! There are still more people I would like to add but I feel as if I have reached my quota for today. Don't worry, it won't be too long until the hunger strikes again. Bloggers ye be warned.

Okay, so I am up-to-date on my posts! (For now). This happened yesterday. Jared's family come in to town for Memorial day weekend. It was so fun to have Katie and Paul (his sister and her husband) and Christen here (his other sister). Jared also had aunts, uncles, and cousins come to town. On Saturday we spent the whole day out on the lake. I loved being in the sun and finally getting a tan!
Sunday we celebrated Jared's birthday(again) with the rest of the family. And the best part was that we had a PINATA!!! No wonder little kids have so much fun : )

The crew preparing for the pinata festivity
And of course once it was Jared's turn, he broke it.

Katie was a bit concerned about this

Me and Christen. Don't mess.

On our 8th month anniversary Jared and I decided to go to the place where we got engaged-Little Cottonwood Canyon on June 6th 2008. I thought that getting engaged was supposed to be a romantic affair but it actually was one of the funniest nights. I picked Jared up from the airport(He was in Kansas for the summer and I was in Utah) and we went to eat at Bajio's, one of Jared's favortie places. Well then we were going to see a movie but still had a lot of time to kill so we went on a drive up the canyon. It was great because it was sunset time, but there was no where to go except for on the side of some random persons yard. So that's where we sat! On a rock. Romantic huh?
Jared was not planning on proposing but decided that this was as romantic as he wanted to get (Just kidding- apparently he had it planned to do it the next day, but learned that the weather was going to be bad). So, we were sitting watching the sunset and then I realized it was time to make our way back down so we could catch the movie. As I stood up, he tugged on my hand and I spun around to find him on the ground on one knee. I was a little shocked because the night seemed so unplanned. Not the fairy tale engagement story I had thought of since I was a little girl. But it was even better! Of course he was sweet and said all the cutest things. Then, he opened the box to pull out the ring. But it was gone. Jared was in a panic. He even went as far as accusing the cleaning lady of stealing it. Ridiculous. I thought that this was some practical joke so I was laughing while he was frantic. But I soon realized he was serious. He looked up at me and said, "Someone stole your ring!" He was ticked! I have never seen Jared so mad and he was proposing. Ironic right? So we both got down on the ground and searched for it. After a minute I saw him pick up something shiny. He then got back down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. We both started laughing about what just happened. How could I resist??? I knew he would make me laugh for the rest of my life. As we drove back to Provo, he decided to put his feet up on my dashboard and turned off the car in the process while we were going 75 on I-15. What a legend.

So here is a renactment of Jared being furious because he couldn't find my ring.
The lovely rock and side yard of someone who has no clue what happened there

I love my husband!

Oh also, the night of commencment our familes threw a congratulations/going away party at Magleby's. We have such an amazing family and love them all so much. And apparently I don't have many pictures from that night.....My mom has them. But I do have one with the Ellingson's! It was so fun to have my bestest friend Bre and her amazing husband Martin living so close to us! I miss them mucho and better see them in October when the baby is here : )

Jared and I both graduated from BYU the end on April. His major was Buisness Managament. My major was Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Espanol. My graduation was at 8:00 a.m. and Jared's was at 5:00 p.m. All semester we tried to convince each other to walk with our own schools. But in the end we were both too stubborn and so unfortunately our family had to go to two graduations. They were good sports.

The handsome graduate
Cindy and Hailey woke up early to come to my graduation. Thanks guys!

We did it guys! I wouldn't have survived classes without these great friends and study buddies.

The graduates

Okay so I am backtracking a little bit. Sorry these posts are in a crazy order. Graduation is a long process! Here are a few pics from the Commencement eexercises.

Me, Rachael and Lindsay. These are two of the "Six Chicks" from Spain. I wish the rest of them could have been there! I love all of them!

A picture with the padresAnd the abuelos!

In the meantime, we have just been unpacking and being goofy! I love my husband so much. He is such a hard worker and never fails to make me laugh.

So I was unpacking and turned out to find my husband in this attractive outfit. Whohoo!!!

Baseball

Take me out to the ball game! A few nights ago we went with Jared's parents to a Royals game. The weather was perfect and it was fun being at the baseball stadium. And, they won! Go Royals!

Okay, so I am not done posting, but it is really difficult to add so many pics about different events. I was getting very frustrated. Maybe I am doing this the hard way, but some day I will get the hang of it! So I found a few wedding pics on this computer. All my pictures are on a different one so once I get to it, I will add some pics of the best day ever! For now, here are some from the Mesa reception.

First entry!

Greetings from Kansas! I am not quite sure how to do this blog thing, so it will be a work in progress. But several friends have asked if we have a blog up yet. And now we do! As boring and not cute as it may be : )

Jared and I were sealed at the Salt Lake temple on August 14th, 2008. It was literally a perfect day and we both agree we have never had one like it. The spirit was so strong that day and we were overwhelemed by the love that was there. We are very grateful for an amazing family! We really felt everyone's love and support the whole day and were grateful to have so many family members with us in the temple. We love you all so much and miss our family members that we were able to be with in Utah. But you all will be taking lots of trips out to Kansas right? : )

Also, I just have to add that Jared is the most amazing husband in the world! I completely adore him and appreciate all he does. He is so kind and patient with me. I can't believe we are coming up on a year!

Lake Quivira, KS is quite the fun place! Jared and I were fortunate enough to move into his grandmother's old house (I'll post picture soon). It has a kitchen, family and dining room, laundry room (yay!), master bedroom and 3 other bedrooms. One will be a guest bedroom, one an office, and one for the BABY!

For those of you who have not heard, we are having a baby October 3rd. Jared is so ecstatic that we are having a boy (as am I). He is so proud and it is fun to see him so very excited. We had a 20 week ultra sound today (halfway there!) and it was so fun to see our little baby boy! He sure is active! But during the ultrasound he must have work himself out because we saw him yawn! it was darling. We love our little boy and can't wait to see meet him. Here are some pics of my ever growing belly. The first one is April 3rd, then May 3rd and the last one was taken today! ( 20 wks and 4 days)

On the 17th we celebrated Jared's 27th birthday! We had a yummy carne asada dinner. If you are looking from some good recipoes then google simply recipies. They have great easy recipies! Anyway, here are some bday pics of the "old man" : )
